What You Need to Play the Cornhole

These days, the existence of digital games often displaces the traditional games. Meanwhile, in fact, actually, the traditional game is same interesting as the digital games. Unlike the digital games that make you be more passive, the traditional games require your physical participation.

The active physical movements are good for your own health and good to maintain your motor ability. One of the ancient games that are still interesting for adults right now is the cornhole. Cornhole is still popular among the adults or played in the college festivals.

The equipment for cornhole

Playing cornhole actually needs simple equipment. Here are what you need to serve for playing cornhole:

  • Two sets of a bag and each set contents of four bags. Therefore, there are total 8 bags for the game. Each set of bags should be different in color.
  • Two boards which each is 2 ft X 4 ft. In the upper surface of each board, there is a hole with wide of 6 inches. The gap between the edge of the board and the hole is about 9 inches. The upper edge of the board should be placed about 12 from the ground. Then, the bottom part is placed 3-4 from the ground. Each board is placed 33 ft apart if the gap is counted based on the holes. Meanwhile, if the gap is counted from the bottom part of the boards, the gap will be 27 ft.

Those gaps will be applicable if you play on the lawn and the place is sufficient enough to play. However, if there is no sufficient place, the gap can be shortened. The shortened gap is also applicable if the players are younger.
